OUR MISSION
Babysitting Connection was founded on the idea that parents already have enough on their plates. Finding reliable and trust-worthy babysitters can be a lot of work. Babysitting Connection can help. Whether you need consistent reliable care on a weekly basis or a few date nights each month, we have you covered. Our service offers sitters every day of the year. We also understand that the “perfect sitter” for one family may not be an ideal fit for another family. Babysitting Connection gives you choices.
WHO WE ARE
Babysitting Connection was founded in 2020 in Austin, TX and began expanding to other Texas cities in 2021 and is now in Ohio. We have booked over 30,000 sits, have more than 250 vetted sitters on our roster, and now have 5 amazing women working behind the scenes (learn more about them here!)
At Babysitting Connection, we provide our members with a wide array of sitters from a variety of backgrounds with a variety of experiences.
Have a pool and looking for a sitter who is a lifeguard or swim instructor, we’ve got you covered. Does your kiddo love art, we have sitters who do too! Worried about proper care of breastmilk, we have sitters who have experience with that also.
We also offer sitters for special events – weddings, church groups, Mom’s groups, etc. Click here to learn more.
Pet Sitting Connection
Pet Sitting Connection was founded in 2023 in Texas and is the sister company of Babysitting Connection. We’ve now expanded to Ohio!
After booking over 40,000 babysits, we realized there was a great need in our community for high-quality pet sitters as well and we knew how to make it convenient and the best option! At Pet Sitting Connection, we provide our members with a wide array of sitters from a variety of backgrounds with a variety of experiences.
Have a dog that needs someone to come walk it while you’re at work? We’ve got you covered. Does your cat need to chase a string and have it’s litter box changed? We have sitters who are happy to stop by! Worried about keeping your five animals entertained while you’re out of town, we have sitters who can stay overnight!
GIVING BACK
Our nonprofit arm, BC Gives Back is focused on creating opportunities through accessible childcare.
We focus on providing childcare for foster families, families in need, and for parents to vote. We also provide scholarships for our sitters to pursue continued education.

owner & founder
I’m the Owner and Founder of Babysitting Connection and mom to Grant and Evelyn. My background is in recruiting and training, and after becoming a stay-at-home mom in 2015, I quickly realized the power of strong support systems for women and mothers. In 2018, I relocated from Columbus, OH to Austin, TX—and after struggling to find reliable childcare, I launched Babysitting Connection in 2020 to help other families find trusted care with ease.
I’m deeply passionate about helping women succeed—whether that’s coaching fellow founders, supporting moms through motherhood’s chaos, or just being the friend who shows up with wine and perspective. I believe in building community, championing each other, and creating spaces where women and moms feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
I love a good Sauvignon Blanc, but I’ll never say no to a tall Titos and soda with extra limes. I thrive on travel—solo or with my kids—and nothing fills my cup like time with close friends and their little ones. I love for a good night out in downtown Austin, and I’ll strike up a convo with just about anyone. Want to grab coffee, a cocktail, or set up a playdate? Let’s connect—I’d truly love to meet you.

SOCIAL MEDIA and MARKETING DIRECTOR
I’m Nikki, Babysitting Connection’s Social Media & Marketing Director. I am married to Jonathan, and together we travel the United States by moving to a new state every three months.
I am originally from Austin and used to be a sitter for Babysitting Connection. Fun fact: I have only ever worked for small and local businesses. I love to digitally illustrate and explore new places and I prefer to live a more minimalistic lifestyle while collecting experiences. Because of this, my husband and I (and our three cats) travel the country with 5 suitcases, a car, and a motorcycle.

DIRECTOR OF SITTER RELATIONS
I’m Frances, Director of Sitter Relations. I live in South Austin with my husband, Garrett, and our two children, Caroline and Charlie. I have been a floral designer for 9 years, designing for weddings, parties, and showers all over Austin and the Hill Country. More recently, I’ve been homeschooling my kids and participating in two wonderful co-ops in South Austin.
You’ll often find me with my mom squad at the parks and playgrounds, catching up over a cup of coffee, or hanging out in the yard with my lovely neighbors (we’re the yard with a million toys and barefoot children!) I am thrilled to join the Babysitting Connection team and I love knowing that we are helping parents all over town with trustworthy and reliable childcare.

CONSISTENT CARE DIRECTOR
I’m Paty, a mom of two, photographer, and part of the amazing team of women as the Consistent Care Director. I handle the Consistent Care Program and various other event and administrative tasks.
I enjoy meditation, exercise, have constant dance parties, and love spending time with my kids. I am an extrovert with a hint of introvert and love to connect and empower women in my community. My favorite color is green and favorite dessert is strawberry cake, but I’ll take any other cake any day!

Field Marketing & community DIRECTOR
Hi, I’m Shelly! Austin born and raised, I joined Babysitting Connection in 2020 as a sitter while finishing school and quickly fell in love with the community. Over the years, I’ve grown into my current role as Field Marketing & Community Director, where I get to connect with families, support our sitters, and help events to run smoothly. What I love most about my work is the chance to bring people together and see those connections make a difference.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me running with my border collie Gigi, spending time with family and friends, or exploring Austin’s food and coffee scene. I also love painting, discovering new music, and making time for long walks or workouts.
At the heart of it all, I love building connections that make people feel supported and part of something bigger!

northern ohio director
I have been married to my husband Doug for 11 years and we have 3 kids, Peyton (19), Kamryn (17), and Brantley (11).
My husband and I both grew up in Sandusky, Ohio and moved to North Ridgeville about 12 years ago. We have loved raising our kids here, but every summer we miss Sandusky and being by the lake, so we make sure to visit often.
I have been a dental hygienist for 13 years and have been lucky enough to work at an amazing office in Norwalk ever since I graduated from hygiene school in 2012. While I love where I work I have been longing to do more.
Beth and I have been friends for a very long time. I was there when she built Babysitting Connection from the ground up. I still remember her picking out the name and logo. I have watched her make so many great connections with families and sitters and I know how passionate she is about helping others. When Beth offered me the opportunity to launch Babysitting Connection here in Northern Ohio I knew it was the right thing for me.
I cannot wait to connect with families here in North Ridgeville, in my hometown, and everywhere in between. I know this is a great service to the community and I feel there is a need for families to get the help they deserve during some of the most stressful and fulfilling years of their lives.
